ABOUT TJ
Still a teenager, TJ was introduced to Hatha-Raja Yoga in Mysore, India by Dr. Narasimha. He was eventually led to legendary Yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra in NYC and discovered his own dharma - leaving a career in medicine to share the seeds of radiant health and self-knowledge. TJ travels around the world sharing his experience in the path of self-realization through workshops and yoga immersions.

CURRICULUM (FORMS OF YOGA)
*HATHA – known as the ‘physical path’ , moving towards harmony with one’s self through compassion (ahimsa) and an unwavering commitment to truth (satya), physical postures to achieve (return to) and maintain radiant health, and breathing practices to expand prana the vital force
*RAJA- “the royal path” of Self Realization – learning to control the five physical senses to develop concentration, meditation (the state beyond mind), and samadhi
*KRIYA- Purification techniques to raise the kundalini (potential energy) and cleanse the physical, energetic, causal and spiritual bodies
*KUNDALINI – practices to awaken the serpentine dormant energy found at the base of the spine in order to open the seven principal chakras
*LAYA - developing a sound body and accessing the subtler states of mind using sound, vibration and intuitive deep listening
*BHAKTI – the path to universal consciousness through the heart as taught by Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita
*JNANA (WISDOM) – inspiration from the wisdom of those who have already walked the path of Self Realiztion. Scripture (such as the Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika), the Vedas, satsang (to be in the company of the wise) etc. . . *Asana/Pranayama/Meditation master practices
*Integrated Asana Labs– to understand the asanas as maps for health and happiness through anatomy, physiology and subtle anatomy. Vinyasa (sequencing postures with breath).
*Hands-on Assisting and Teaching practicum & apprenticeship
*Scriptures, Philosophy, Sanskrit
*Bhakti Practices – kirtan, chanting, and laughter yoga
*Yogic living foods diet for maximum vitality and the yogic lifestyle
